The Ultimate SimFest!

On February 28th 2003, several of the most talented and respected people in the PC flight simulation arena visited my hangar in California, USA, for a one day Ultimate SimFest! The list of attendees included: Mike Altman, Ted Deller, Peter Dowson, Alan Dyer, Austin Meyer, Doyle Nickless, Katy, Melanie, William, and Philippe Pluta , Jonathan Richardson, Ralph Robinson, Enrico Schiratti, Bill Trinidad, and Eric. There was food, drink, conversation, and of course 737-800 sim flying! It was an honor to host such an outstanding group of friends, and truly an amazing scene having all these creative people gathered in one place. I think everyone enjoyed exchanging stories and ideas in such a real time environment, and also getting a bit of 'stick time' in my Boeing 737. Even Katy's kids enjoyed the flying!

Ralph Robinson showed up several days early and we frantically worked to upgrade my simulator to use the EPIC USB. It was a lot of work, but we managed to get most things functional just minutes before everyone arrived! There are still several things to finish up, but the sim was flyable. The EPIC USB is very capable and has several new features which make it a great upgrade.
